Norton 360 started having problems on Sunday (8/23/2009). 360 would not start and after multiple tries an IE window would pop up telling you to reinstall to fix the problem.
On Monday (8/24/2009) Symantec released a "HotFix" which I can tell you now actually works.
If you are getting this error message:
"Error: "Symantec Service Framework has encountered a problem and needs to close..."
Point your browser to http://www.norton.com/hotfix.
